Job Details

  • Job Title: General Manager – Solar Projects
  • Job Location: Ahmedabad (with PAN India travel as required)
  • Office Hours: 9:30 AM – 7:30 PM, Monday to Saturday, with lunch and other breaks as per company policy
  • Number of Vacancies: 1 (One)
  • Experience Required: Minimum 7+ years in Solar Projects / Renewable Energy / Electrical Switchgear industry with proven leadership experience.
  • Educational Qualification:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Renewable Energy Engineering
    • MBA (Operations / Business Management) preferred

Job Purpose / Summary

The General Manager will be responsible for end-to-end business growth, strategy execution, and operational excellence across Sales, Procurement, Finance, HR, Production, and Logistics. This role demands strong leadership to align teams with company vision, ensure compliance, and deliver profitable growth in the highly competitive solar market.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Strategy & Growth

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share targets.
  • Drive expansion into new geographies, dealer networks, and OEM partnerships.

2. Sales & Marketing

  • Monitor lead generation, conversion, and dealer/distributor engagement.
  • Guide sales team on pricing strategy, exhibitions, and digital promotions.

3. Operations & Supply Chain

  • Oversee procurement, inventory, logistics, and warehouse management.
  • Ensure timely supply chain coordination and vendor negotiations.

4. Finance & Compliance

  • Monitor budgets, cash flows, and P&L performance.
  • Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, and other statutory obligations.

5. Human Resource & Leadership

  • Build strong cross-functional teams (Sales, HR, Accounts, Admin, Logistics).
  • Implement performance management systems (KRA/KPI) for employees.

6. Customer Relationship & Quality

  • Maintain long-term relationships with EPCs, traders, and OEM customers.
  • Oversee customer support, warranty claims, and escalations.

7. ERP & Automation

  • Implement Odoo ERP workflows across departments for efficiency and control.
